Justin had a busy start to the new year, playing gigs with Tyler Kealey at the Nepean Sailing Club and Outside I'm A Giant at Irene's Pub. He is currently wrapped in a blanket by the fireplace, writing some new songs and getting ready for a new single release this year. More info to come!
Known for his powerful voice and vibrant stage presence, Justin Ralph is a singer-songwriter whose opera background and country passion always make for a unique and exciting live show. With influences from early Americana and Canadiana music to Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, his passionate performances have people taking notice across the Ottawa Valley.
A former opera singer, Justin pursued a successful career as a tenor before setting aside his tuxedo for a banjo and a plaid shirt in order to write and perform the music closest to his heart. With haunting vocals accompanied by the moody picking of his banjo, Justin's original story telling songs evoke the old dirt roads of rural Ontario and the souls that once travelled on them.
On his debut EP outlaws, betrayed lovers, and soulful ruminations come to life with banjo, guitar, mandolin, and piano, led by Ralph's powerful voice. Travelling a line between country, folk, and bluegrass, the troubadour and his banjo paint tales, both dark and light, of a simpler time. Order the EP here.
